Det. Joseph Mayrose park offers a special opportunity for people from the neighborhood to cultivate an individual allotment within a securely fenced community garden.

HomeGrown serves the Mayrose community garden as liaison with the Parks Dept. and administrator of the garden’s membership rules and allotment assignments.

There are 19 garden plots at the community garden. Community gardeners may continue to tend their assigned allotments year to year, provided they abide by the Rules for Mayrose Community Gardeners.

Plots do become available periodically – but there is a waiting list.
